Care Character is a recruitment and retention tool, designed by experts based on a PhD study the assessment tool allows you to identify the traits of your candidates to check their suitability for a role in care.
Candidate complete a short on average 7 minute online assessment that evaluates their skills and behaviours across the 7 qualities of care.
The report identifies the following qualities:

Using a 10-point scale, we score each candidate and generate 4 tailored reports that help you make informed decisions about recruitment, retention and development.
The 4 reports:
- The Candidate Report is designed to allow the candidate to reflect on their suitability for a role on care and it also helps them to prepare for their interview.
- The Hiring Manager Report provides information on the behavioural traits of your candidate so that you can assess their suitability for a role in care, this report also provides the hiring manager with bespoke interview questions.
- The Meet Your Carer Report is designed for the person being cared for or the family of the person being cared for giving an overview of the traits of the carer, great for domiciliary companies.
- The Development Report provides both the new starter and manager a bespoke learning and development plan based on the 7 qualities of care allowing your manager and new starter to focus on the personalised learning and development of the new starter from day 1, allowing you to improve onboarding and tenure of your new starters.
